Fentanyl, Thai weed at How High

Fentanyl

SKU b0d25b79-b6c9-4455-b954-08dfd87a1cfa Category

Fentanyl is our house cross of Fanta x Forbidden Fruit: orange soda and pink grapefruit on the nose, a bright, sociable lift, then the body softens.

Fentanyl

Fentanyl is a balanced hybrid (45/55, estimated) and our own house cross, Fanta x Forbidden Fruit, grown here in Thailand. Both parents are citrus plants, so the jar smells of orange soda and pink grapefruit, and the high comes up bright and sociable before the body softens. Expect something in the region of 20% to 26% THC, the range of its two parents, because our lot carries no lab test. Best for the afternoon through the evening.

The Story Behind Fentanyl

First, the name. Fentanyl is a shop label and a joke about how hard this cross hits, nothing more: no cultivar anywhere goes by that name, and there is nothing in the jar but cannabis. If the name puts you off, judge it by its lineage instead, because that part is real. On one side sits Forbidden Fruit, the Chameleon Extracts cross of Cherry Pie and Tangie. Cherry Pie brings Granddaddy Purple and Durban Poison into the family, while Tangie, a California Orange and Skunk cross, is the reason so many of its descendants smell like a bowl of tangerines. On its own, Forbidden Fruit is an indica-leaning evening strain, loved for grapefruit, cherry and tropical fruit and for a deeply relaxing body.

The other parent is Fanta, and here we would rather be straight with you. Fanta is not one plant but a name several breeders give to orange-soda phenotypes, from Orange Fanta to Hawaiian Fanta, and none of them has a single confirmed parentage. What they share is a sativa-leaning, citrus-first character, usually led by Limonene, and that is exactly the side you meet first in this jar. Since nobody outside the shop has grown or reviewed this cross, everything below reads the two parents rather than a lab report, and we flag it wherever it matters.

The Nose

Lift the lid and the room turns into a fruit stall. Orange leads, more fizzy soda than fresh peel, with a wider citrus brightness around it. Underneath, the Forbidden Fruit side pushes through as pink grapefruit and a darker cherry note, rounded off by something sweet and faintly tropical. With citrus on both sides of the family, Limonene should run the show; meanwhile Myrcene gives the fruit some weight, Caryophyllene adds a peppery warmth at the back, and a touch of Terpinolene keeps the top notes lively.

The Smoke

On the inhale it tastes much like it smells: orange soda and grapefruit first, sharp enough to make your mouth water. Then, as the smoke settles, the cherry side steps forward, and the exhale finishes creamy, a little like the cream in an orange soda float. Citrus strains can scratch the throat when they burn hot, so slow, gentle pulls keep the fruit sweet. Rush it, on the other hand, and the peppery edge takes over the whole joint.

The High

Right from the first few hits, the Fanta half sets the tone: uplifting, euphoric and plainly happy, the kind of lift that makes you sociable and a little creative for the first half hour. Then the Forbidden Fruit half arrives from underneath. A light tingly warmth spreads through the body, the shoulders drop, and the session turns relaxed and calming without knocking you out: heavy limbs, head still in the conversation. The strength is real, so pace yourself, but it lands as a good mood rather than a shutdown.

Who Should Try Fentanyl?

This jar suits somebody who loves citrus strains and wants an afternoon that stays social, then eases into a calm evening. It is not a first joint for a beginner: with Forbidden Fruit in the mix the cross runs strong, so start small. If you are anxiety-prone, go slow on the first session, because a bright citrus lift can tip into racing thoughts when pushed. For stress, a low mood, tension headaches or the aches that settle in after a long day, it makes an easy pick, and a later session can ease you toward sleep without forcing it. Save it for after lunch rather than first thing in the morning.
