The PT33 consultation is the legal step that now sits between you and any cannabis flower purchase in the country. It sounds official, and it is: a real consultation with an authorised practitioner, and a straightforward one. What Is a PT33?
PT33 (in Thai, ปท.33) is the official prescription form for controlled herbal medicine, issued by an authorised practitioner. Since June 2025, when the Thai government reclassified cannabis flower as a controlled herb under the 2025 controlled-herb rules, every legal purchase of flower or high-THC product has to be authorized by this form. In plain terms, it is the paperwork that makes your purchase legitimate. It is issued after a consultation with the practitioner about what you are looking for and why, and you keep it with you while you have product on you.
Why the Consultation Exists
The PT33 step is not there to make life difficult. It is the mechanism that keeps Thailand’s cannabis market on the right side of the new rules, and it protects you as much as the shop. A proper consultation means someone qualified has checked that what you are buying suits you, that the dosage makes sense, and that the sale is fully documented. That is the difference between a regulated dispensary and an unlicensed seller who can offer you none of that cover.
The How High Process, Step by Step
The process is simpler than it sounds. First, come to either of our two shops between 10am and midnight, no appointment needed. Second, we arrange the consultation with you, and an authorised practitioner asks about your experience and what you are after. Third, the practitioner issues your PT33, which authorises your purchase. Fourth, choose your product with a budtender and enjoy it responsibly in private. The consultation is a genuine assessment, so answer honestly: it is what makes the prescription valid, and it is also how you end up with something that suits you rather than something that flattens you.

With your prescription issued, you choose from the local Thai weed shelf and imported Cali packs. Everything is labelled, so the consultation and the product line up: you get guidance, then you choose what was recommended.

The Chaweng shop is open around the clock, every day, and the Fisherman’s Village shop in Bophut runs from 9am to 1am daily. Consultations, however, run from 10am to midnight, every day, at both shops. So if you walk into Chaweng at two in the morning you will find us open, but the PT33 side of things will have to wait until 10am. Turn up inside that window and the whole thing is done in a single visit.
