The Story Behind Blue Zushi

The Zushi line came out of Los Angeles around 2019, bred by The Tenco. Co-founders Staks and Gerry built the cross from Zkittlez, the candy-fruity cultivar from 3rd Gen Family and Terphogz, and Kush Mints 11, a Seed Junky Genetics creation that brings raw potency and that cool, minty-kush backbone. Staks came up in London and played a key role in bringing Cookies to Europe before settling in LA. When those two parent lines met, the result moved fast through LA circles. Clones were selling for hundreds, and the Zushi name became one of the most sought-after in American cannabis culture.

Blue Zushi is the blue phenotype of that cross. Where Black Zushi pushed darker, heavier, more sedative, Blue Zushi holds onto the candy-forward brightness of the Zkittlez side while the Kush Mints 11 adds structure and a pine-touched, resinous backbone. He designed the 2023 Brit Awards statuette, became the first Nigerian-born artist to do so, and has collaborated with Louis Vuitton, Trapstar, and Dover Street Market.
