The Story

Deep East is an Oakland-based seed project led by Rob, a phenotype hunter with a focus on complex, layered genetics. The strain brings together two distinct lineages: Dirty Cookie, which carries the classic GSC sweet-earthy-cookie DNA, and Pink Guava, a Deo Farms creation developed from OZ Kush seeds. Pink Guava is the same lineage that also contributed to ZOAP and RS-11, making it one of the more influential building blocks in the modern exotic catalogue. The goal with Dirty Guava was straightforward: pull the tropical citrus lift from the Guava side and anchor it in the rich, bakery warmth of the Cookie. The result is a cross that punches above its THC range on flavour complexity.

The Nose

Crack the seal and Sweet fills the room first, rounded and soft rather than sharp. Right underneath, Floral comes through with a jasmine-like delicacy. As the nugs open up, Citrus adds brightness and Earthy grounds the whole profile. Further back, Berry and Creamy show up as a soft finish. Myrcene runs through the base with musky, herbal depth. Limonene accounts for the citrus pop and lemon-peel sharpness at the top. Linalool is the source of the floral softness, while Caryophyllene adds a faint peppery edge at the back of the throat. Compact, resin-heavy buds with a nose that shifts as they breathe.

The Smoke

The draw comes in easy, leading with sweet and a trailing floral note. Midway through, citrus and earthy develop as Limonene opens up on the palate. The creamy and berry notes surface toward the end of the joint as the Myrcene and Linalool concentrate near the roach. The burn stays even, and the ash runs pale throughout.

The High

The onset is gentle but clear: Euphoria arrives first, followed quickly by a lift in Happy and a loosening in the chest.
