The Story Behind Pizen

The name is the recipe. Pi Chew from Ronin Seeds, Kaizen from Raw Genetics, and the two of them crossed into Pizen by The Tenco. Three houses on one jar is unusual, and it explains why this cut sits a little apart from the Zushi line most people know the brand for. Both parents come out of the Z family, so the genetic centre of gravity is familiar even when the expression is not.

Pi Chew is the pie half: Z-Pie 14 crossed to Zuyaqui, a plant that routinely tests in the high twenties and leans candy citrus with a soft, doughy backend. Kaizen is the brighter parent, Zikigai backcrossed to Original Z, known among growers for clear-headed effects and a nose of citrus, grape skin and tropical zest.
