The Story Behind Superboof

Superboof started life under a different name. California breeder Blockhead first created the cross in 2019, calling it Blockberry. The genetics were straightforward: Black Cherry Punch (Purple Punch x Black Cherry Pie) crossed with Tropicana Cookies (Girl Scout Cookies x Tangie). Both parents are known for heavy fruit terpenes and bag appeal, so the cross was designed to stack citrus and cherry flavours into one loud package.

The strain sat relatively quiet until Michigan grower and influencer Mobilejay got his hands on a cut, selected a standout pheno, and renamed it Super Boof. The rebrand stuck. By 2022, Superboof was everywhere on social media, and the momentum carried it all the way to Leafly Strain of the Year in 2024. The Tropicana Cookies side brings that tangerine brightness, while Black Cherry Punch contributes the deep fruit and the physical relaxation. Together, they make a strain that tastes like a fruit stand but smokes like a proper hybrid.

The Nose
