Toad Venom

SKU TW-0022 Category Tag

Toad Venom is the Animal Face x Sin Mintz cross that became 2026’s most hyped strain, here grown in Thailand: mint and cookie dough over loud gas, then a heavy calm.

Toad Venom

Toad Venom is an indica-leaning hybrid (30/70) born from Animal Face x Sin Mintz, the Ronin Seeds cross that became the most talked-about strain of 2026. Published figures for the line sit around 25-30% THC, and it wraps cool mint and cookie dough around a tank of gas before a heavy body high takes over. Best for night.

The Story Behind Toad Venom

Few strains arrive with this much backstory. Ronin Seeds of Los Angeles, working with West Coast Connoisseurs, crossed Animal Face, Seed Junky Genetics’ blend of Face Off OG and Animal Mints, with Sin Mintz, a Sin Mint Cookies line that carries Zkittlez. In 2021 about thirty of those seeds reached Green Dragon, a North Hollywood nursery, which popped every single one and kept one plant, nicknamed Becky. Back at Ronin she was renamed Toad Venom, a name the breeders trace to a joke about her parents: what would a sinful animal look like? By 2026 the press was calling her the most hyped weed of the year. Meanwhile, the same Animal Face x Sin Mintz pairing turns up under other names, such as Sinners Poison by Malibu X Feel Good, and Maison O Caçapo sells its own pheno of the strain as Zelly.

Our jar comes from a Thai farm that grows it under this exact name. The farm names no breeder and the batch came without a lab sheet, so we attribute it to the Ronin line by name, and the profile on this page follows the strain’s public record rather than a test of our jar. In short, think of it as a Thai-grown take on a Los Angeles legend, and judge it by its nose and its smoke. Every Toad Venom we carry is listed on the Toad Venom strain page.

The Nose

Lift the lid and the fuel reaches you first, a sharp gassy blast straight from the Animal Face side. Right behind it, cool mint and a soft, doughy sweetness, like raw cookie batter, roll in from Sin Mintz. Then a squeeze of citrus lifts the whole thing, with a fruity, candy-like edge that hints at the Zkittlez further up the family tree. That peppery tickle under the gas? It is Caryophyllene at work, with Limonene keeping the citrus bright and Myrcene giving the dough its weight. These three are the terpenes the line is known for, not a reading of our batch.

The line usually shows lime green buds streaked with dark purple, sticky enough to clog a grinder. Thai jars vary from one batch to the next, though, so take a close look at ours on the shelf.

The Smoke

Expect a thick, oily smoke that coats the mouth. The inhale leans gassy, and the mint arrives as a cool rush on the way out. At the same time, the doughy sweetness settles in the middle of the tongue, while a little citrus keeps the finish from turning heavy. As you go, the fuel builds with every pull, so pace yourself: the smoke expands more than its smooth start suggests.

The High

Toad Venom opens with a warm, euphoric rush behind the eyes, and for a while the mood turns happy and chatty. Then the weight moves down. Shoulders drop, breathing slows, and a relaxed, calming wave settles in as the body high spreads through the arms and legs. At the peak the couch gets very persuasive, and later in the evening the bed usually wins. Seasoned smokers often call the first hour heavy but still functional; after that, plan nothing important.

Who Should Try Toad Venom?

Toad Venom suits experienced smokers winding down at the end of the day. At around 25-30% THC it does not mess around, and if you are anxiety-prone, start with a couple of small pulls, because the opening rush can run a little fast. On the other hand, anyone carrying stress, a busy mind or a sore body after a long day will see why people reach for it. Keep it for the evening, put on a film and let it do its job. Finally, if you have heard the name all year, this jar is a good way to meet the line here on Samui.
