Gelonade
Gelonade Strain
The Gelonade strain is exactly what it sounds like: lemonade in flower form. A sativa-leaning hybrid (70/30) from Lemon Tree and Gelato 41, it runs 22 to 26% THC and pairs sharp, sour lemon zest with a creamy vanilla finish. The high is bright, fast, and cerebral, a daytime favourite that picked up Cannabis Cup hardware for good reason.
Gelonade turns up on our menu two ways: as imported California flower, and as a fresh Thai-grown cut. Jump to where to find Gelonade.
The Gelonade Strain Story
Gelonade is a Connected Cannabis Co. release, which tells you most of what you need to know. Connected is one of the most trusted names in legal California cannabis, the crew behind the Bacio Gelato line, and for Gelonade they took Gelato 41 and brightened it with Lemon Tree’s loud citrus terps. Judges loved the result: it took first place for Best Sativa flower and has stacked up cup wins since, including an Emerald Cup nod.
What makes it special is the contrast. Most lemon strains are sharp and one-note. Gelonade wraps that sour citrus in the creamy, dessert-like body it inherits from the Gelato side, so it reads like a glass of lemonade with the sweetness dialled in.
The Nose
It opens loud and citrus-forward: sharp lemon and bright citrus with a genuine sour tang, the kind that makes you think of lemon sweets. Sitting under that is the Gelato influence, a smooth vanilla creaminess and an overall sweet, cookie-dough roundness. The terpene mix is rich for a citrus strain: Limonene drives the lemon, Linalool softens it, and Caryophyllene grounds it, with a little Terpinolene adding lift. The nugs come dense and lime-green, dripping in trichomes.
The High
Gelonade is a daytime sativa that actually performs. It comes on fast, uplifting and euphoric, with a tingly body buzz and a sociable, creative, energetic headspace that makes it great for daytime tasks, company, or just a good mood. It stays clear-headed and functional rather than spacey. At 22 to 26% THC it is a real 4 out of 5, so it is not a beginner’s wake and bake, and with a medium anxiety risk it is worth pacing if you run anxious. For stress, a low mood, fatigue, or daytime pain, it is one of the brightest options going.
