Snow Cap
Snow Cap Strain
The Snow Cap strain is one of the few jars that genuinely smells cold, lemon first and then a clean menthol chill. A sativa-leaning hybrid (60/40) from Snow White x Haze, it is usually reported somewhere between 19 and 25% THC, and it spends nearly all of that above the neck. Expect a clear, energetic high with very little body weight, best in the morning and through the day.
You will also see it written Snowcap, Sno Cap or SnoCap, all the same plant. Jump to where to find Snow Cap.
The Snow Cap Strain Story
Snow Cap belongs to the generation of California cuts that spread from grower to grower long before anyone kept records. Strain databases list its breeder as unknown. The lineage usually given is Snow White x Haze, with a Humboldt Snow selection sometimes named in place of Snow White. What no version disputes is the Haze parent, and it explains nearly everything about how the Snow Cap strain behaves.
Haze lines built the reputation of daytime weed long before dessert strains existed: slow to finish, loud, cerebral and demanding to grow. As breeding moved toward cake and candy, fewer growers were willing to run them, which is why a Snow Cap jar now feels like a throwback. The menthol note turns up in so many reports that it has become the strain’s fingerprint.
The Nose
Most modern jars smell like dessert; this one smells like a cold drink. Lemon comes first, tart and zesty, then menthol and a softer mint cool everything down. Beneath them sit citrus peel and an earthy dryness, and reviewers regularly pick up a sharp, almost chemical tang beside the lemon. Terpinolene, the terpene Haze lines are known for, gives the profile its fruity, herbal brightness, while Myrcene and Caryophyllene add a softer, peppery base. Like most Haze crosses, it grows longer and looser buds than the dessert strains around it.
The High
Snow Cap works almost entirely above the neck. Within minutes the lift is energetic and uplifting, with a creative, talkative quality and enough clarity to stay focused on whatever you started. The mood runs happy with a light euphoric sparkle, and the body barely registers it. The honest trade-off with any Haze: people prone to anxiety sometimes find it too racy, so a smaller first hit is the smart move, and it is a poor choice late at night if sleep matters. Stress and a flat mood are the reasons given most often by people who reach for it. In short, a strain for getting things done, not for winding down.
Where to Find Snow Cap at How High
Snow Cap currently sits on our Thai Weed shelf: a Thai-grown jar with no brand on it. It is a local grow of the line rather than one of the old California cuts, and we have no lab sheet for our lot, so treat the figures on this page as the genetic’s reputation rather than a test result.
