The Story Behind Applelicious

Applelicious comes from In-House Genetics, the Washington State micro-breeding operation led by Branden Bond. In-House built their reputation on resin-drenched collector strains like Slurricane, Dolato, and Jelly Breath, consistently crossing proven dessert genetics with sharper, more complex mothers. For Applelicious they took Sour Apple (a Sour Diesel x Cinderella 99 cross originally bred by Top Shelf Seeds) and hit it with Pancakes, the London Pound Cake #75 x Kush Mints #11 collaboration between Cookies and Seed Junky Genetics. Two very different genetic lanes meeting in one seed.

The logic writes itself when you look at the parents. Sour Apple carries that unmistakable tart green apple bite inherited from Sour Diesel’s fuel-forward pungency and Cinderella 99’s quick-hitting euphoric sativa side. Pancakes goes the other direction entirely: Sunset Sherbet lineage through London Pound Cake gives it a buttery, vanilla cake-batter sweetness, while Kush Mints #11 from Seed Junky adds dense, trichome-heavy structure and a cool menthol finish. The cross targets that “sour fruit candy meets warm pastry dough” flavour lane, with enough resin to satisfy extract heads. Applelicious remains relatively niche compared to In-House headliners like Slurricane, but early growers describe extremely sticky flowers with sour apple candy layered over creamy, berry-laced sweetness.
