Snow Cap is a Snow White crossed with Haze that you can pick out of a jar line up blindfolded: lemon first, then a cold menthol snap at the back of the nose. Around 20% to 25% THC, and all of it goes to the head, with no body weight to speak of. Best for morning and daytime.

The Story Behind Snow Cap

Snow Cap is an older California name, and you will find it spelled three different ways depending on who is writing: Snowcap, Sno Cap, SnoCap. The lineage is Snow White over Haze, though some sources read the first half as a Humboldt Snow selection. Either way the Haze is the half that matters here, and it is the reason the effect goes straight up rather than out.

Haze crosses have been out of fashion for a decade while the market chased dessert genetics, so a jar like this stands out on a shelf full of candy. There is no grower or brand on ours: it is grown here in Thailand and sold loose by the gram, which is how most of our Thai flower works. What it does have is a nose nobody confuses with anything else. Meanwhile the reviews are worth reading honestly, because they split: plenty of people describe it as the thing that finally lifted their mood, and a smaller group describe genuine anxiety. Both are true of Haze, and we have set the risk rating accordingly rather than quoting only the good half.

The Nose

Sharp, cold, and green. Lemon arrives first and it is rind rather than juice, bright enough to cut through a room, and then comes the part that makes this jar memorable: a menthol snap that hits the back of the nose like eucalyptus. Behind that pair sits a cooler mint note and a dry earthy floor keeping it grounded. The buds are pale and frosty with long, wispy Haze structure rather than tight dense balls, and they break up dry rather than sticky. That fruity, faintly piney lift in the middle is the Terpinolene, which is exactly the terpene you expect a Haze to carry.

The Smoke

Light and fast. It does not sit heavy in the chest the way an indica jar does, and the citrus carries cleanly from inhale to exhale with the menthol arriving right at the end, almost cooling. It burns quick and it burns clean, which is a Haze trait, so a joint of this goes faster than you planned. As you go the lemon fades slightly and the earth underneath becomes more obvious.

The High

Five to fifteen minutes and you know. It comes up energetic and stays there, with a clear creative streak and enough structure to actually be focused rather than just busy. The mood lifts uplifting and plainly happy, conversation gets easy, and the euphoric edge holds through the middle without ever tipping into the body. Nothing here sedates. Two honest cautions: it will keep a light sleeper awake if taken late, and the Haze half can push an already anxious smoker further than they want to go.

Who Should Try Snow Cap?

This is the jar for somebody who wants to get things done, or for anybody bored of everything tasting like sweets. It handles a morning, a beach and a long conversation. If you are anxiety prone, start with less than you think and give it a quarter of an hour before the second one, because at 20% to 25% the Haze does not ease in gently. For fatigue, for low mood, or for a day that needs a push rather than a cushion, there is not much on the shelf that does this job better.
