The Story Behind Biscotti x Zoap
Two of the most culturally significant strains of the last decade collide in this cross. Biscotti was born from a red Solo cup pheno hunt at Connected Cannabis Co., where Caleb Counts and his team grew out dozens of Gelato 25 x South Florida OG seeds to find the one. They wanted brand power behind it, so they brought Berner in to smoke through each cup and name the winner. “Biscotti” stuck, Italian for “twice baked.” Hip-hop made it immortal: over 400 song mentions and counting. Young Thug’s YSL crew adopted it. Travis Scott licensed a Connected Biscotti hybrid for his Cactus Farms line. It became one of the few strains that crossed from cannabis culture into mainstream pop culture.
Zoap came from a different world entirely. DEO started growing at fifteen in East Oakland, inheriting OG Kush cuttings from his uncles and slowly building a breeding program. He popped 100 Rainbow Sherbet seeds, selected female 16 for her aroma, bred her back to a Rainbow Sherbet male, and from those 100 offspring picked phenotype 21. That became Zoap, named for its soapy, floral, perfume-like nose. It won Best Overall at the Zalympix Championship 2022 and was Leafly’s Strain of the Year runner-up. The name now carries real weight.
Blueprint Cannabis is the bridge between these two legacies. Founder Jordan Aguilar spent a decade as Director of Indoor Cultivation at Connected and Alien Labs, growing the Gelato cuts that became Biscotti’s parent genetics. He left to start Blueprint in Arizona with Joe Stanger and Tom Sheridan, immediately winning the first Zalympix winter competition in 2022 with Triple Lindy. Crossing Biscotti with Zoap is not a random pairing for this team. Aguilar grew both parent lineages from the inside.
The Nose
Two worlds collide in the jar. The sweet, almost cookie-like dough hits first, warm and familiar, Biscotti’s signature calling card. Then the Zoap side announces itself: a bright, fruity sharpness, somewhere between soap and candy, floral and clean. Citrus brightness threads through the middle, tying the two profiles together. Underneath, a nutty, creamy base adds richness, and a gassy, earthy finish grounds the whole thing. The Caryophyllene brings peppery warmth behind the gas. Limonene lifts the citrus and candy notes. Myrcene adds herbal depth at the base, and Linalool softens the edges with a floral, lavender calm. Dense, compact nugs with dark green colouring, purple accents, and a heavy trichome frost that makes them shimmer.
The Smoke
The inhale is where Biscotti shows up: sweet, creamy cookie dough with a gassy undertone. On the exhale, Zoap takes over. That fruity, soapy-candy character fills the mouth and lingers. As the joint burns down, the two sides blend into something new, a nutty, slightly earthy richness with a clean citrus finish. The smoke is thick and oily, expanding in the lungs without harshness. You taste layers here, each pull slightly different from the last. By the second half, the resin builds and the flavour gets heavier, leaning more into that cookie-gas territory. Burns slow with an even oil ring.
The High
The Zoap genetics fire first. Within minutes, a bright euphoric rush lights up the head, clear and warm. Creative energy kicks in almost immediately, the kind where ideas connect faster than usual. A giggly, social edge colours everything, making conversation effortless. Then, around the ten-minute mark, Biscotti starts pulling its weight. A slow relaxation creeps down the spine, settling into the limbs with warm, heavy comfort. A calming wave deepens the body sensation until the full body high lands. In addition, expect the munchies to arrive right on schedule. Hunger hits reliably with this one, so have snacks within reach. The balance between head and body is the real story here. You stay mentally present while the body melts, functional but thoroughly mellowed. That blend of Connected pedigree and Oakland hype genetics is exactly what it sounds like.

Who Should Try Biscotti x Zoap by Blueprint?
If you have been chasing that perfect cookie-gas hybrid and want something more interesting than another Gelato cross, Biscotti x Zoap by Blueprint at 25-30% THC delivers. The tropical Zoap brightness keeps it from going full indica coma, while the Biscotti body anchors every session. Good for stress, anxiety, and appetite loss, the calming body warmth is genuine without being sedating. Newer smokers should respect the potency and go slow on the first round, the medium anxiety risk means it can get racy if you overdo it. For anyone who appreciates layered flavour and a high that evolves, this one earns a spot in the regular rotation.
