Apple Fritter is one of the most celebrated hybrids to come out of the California scene. Originally bred by Lumpy’s Flowers, the cross of Sour Apple and Animal Cookies produced a strain famous for its dessert-forward nose and devastating potency. It quickly became a staple in dispensaries across the West Coast, known for dense, trichome-coated buds that smell like a bakery.

Black Fritter takes that Apple Fritter foundation and pushes it toward the dark side. The “black” in the name refers to the deep purple, almost black colouring that certain Apple Fritter phenotypes develop, especially when exposed to cooler night temperatures. These darker phenos tend to run heavier on the indica side, with more pronounced body effects and earthier, funkier terp profiles.
