The Story

Blue Zushi came out of Los Angeles around 2019, bred by The Tenco, the team behind co-founders Staks and Gerry. The cross pairs Zkittlez, the candy-fruity cultivar from 3rd Gen Family and Terphogz, with Kush Mints 11, a Seed Junky Genetics line that brings potency and that cool, minty-kushy backbone. The result hit different. Clones were moving for $750 and up, and the name spread fast through LA circles and beyond.

The Slawn collaboration brought a second dimension to the drop. Slawn is a Lagos-born, London-based artist whose fingerprints are on skate culture, streetwear, and graphic design. The exact nature of the creative partnership with The Tenco isn’t catalogued in detail publicly, but the aesthetic fit was obvious: Japanese sushi and anime-inspired branding colliding with West African-influenced street art. Blue Zushi as a name carries that whole cultural layering, and the pack reflects it.

The Nose

Crack this open and the room shifts. Sweet hits immediately, followed fast by Candy with the kind of depth that reads like Zkittlez at its loudest. Then Fruity fills the space around it, and as the nugs warm in your hand, Earthy and Pine come through underneath, anchoring all that sugar with something grounded. A faint Spicy edge sits at the back, the Kush Mints genetics making themselves known. Limonene pushes brightness through the whole profile, Caryophyllene threads the spice in cleanly, and Linalool softens it with a floral undertone that keeps the nose from going sharp. The Smoke
