The Story Behind Cherrylicious

Solfire Gardens is a Pacific Northwest breeder founded in 2015 by a University of Washington biology student who learned cultivation from a neighbor as a teenager. His college friendship with Exotic Mike (of Exotic Genetix) shaped the early genetic direction and opened doors to elite cuts. Their breeding philosophy is obsessive: every strain runs through multiple test growers across different environments before release. Cherrylicious pairs Lemon Cherry Gelato, arguably the most commercially validated dessert strain of the decade, with Udder Madness, a deep Solfire original. LCG started life as a bagseed grown by Cannatique Farms in Oakland, originally a Runtz cut quietly rebranded when Cookies secured the Runtz trademark. Backpackboyz amplified it into a global phenomenon. On the other side, Udder Madness crosses Bitties (Gelato x Red Pop meeting Tropicana Cookies x Black Banana) into Mind Flayer (GG4 x Black Banana genetics fused with Gelato x Don Mega). In addition, Udder Madness carries bubblegum, vanilla, and a distinctive milky quality that rounds out LCG’s sharp cherry. The name writes itself: cherry from the mother, licious from the creamy father.

The Nose

This one fills the room the moment you crack the bag. Ripe Berry dominates the top notes, concentrated and sweet, like fresh cherries left in a bowl on a warm afternoon. Right behind it, a bright Citrus pop lifts the profile, that LCG lemon heritage doing its thing. Limonene is doing real work here, keeping everything alive and bright. Then the Udder Madness side announces itself: a thick Creamy layer sits underneath, almost like condensed milk, softening the fruit into something dessert-like. Break a nug open and Sweet candy notes expand alongside something Gassy in the base, raw and musky, anchored by Myrcene and Caryophyllene. On top of that, a Fruity sweetness deepens as the nugs breathe. Purple-streaked buds with copper pistils and a trichome coat that makes your fingers stick together.
