Garlic Icing by Hash Hunters — Fresh Frozen
Garlic Icing by Hash Hunters keeps the GMO funk intact: garlic and diesel on the nose, sweet cream on the exhale, and a body that switches off.
Garlic Icing by Hash Hunters
Garlic Icing by Hash Hunters is an indica-leaning hybrid (30/70) born from GMO x Papaya. The flower runs 19-22% THC, and washed fresh frozen it keeps the savoury half of that cross fully intact, garlic and diesel over a sweet cream base. Best for night.

The Story Behind Garlic Icing
Oni Seed Co put GMO over Papaya and the result circulates under more than one name, Garlic Juice among them. GMO, sometimes called Garlic Cookies, is the savoury outlier of the modern catalogue: chem funk, raw garlic, a bite that people either chase for years or never touch twice. Papaya is the opposite argument, soft tropical sweetness with a creamy finish, and it is there to make the funk approachable rather than to cancel it. What comes out of that cross is the garlic still leading, with a dessert layer underneath that stops it being purely savoury. Worth flagging for anyone searching: a completely unrelated Garlic Icing exists from Fresh Coast Seed Company, out of Frost Donkey and Secret Weapon, and it is a different plant entirely.
Hash Hunters washed this one from frozen flower, and the format choice matters more than usual here. Garlic and diesel notes are among the first things to disappear on a drying rack, so a dried and cured wash of this cross tends to come back tasting mostly of the Papaya side. Freezing at harvest keeps the savoury end in the bag, which is the whole point of picking GMO genetics in the first place.
The Nose
This one announces itself the second the lid moves. Garlic first, unmistakably, followed by a sharp cheese funk and a diesel edge that rounds the whole thing off. Underneath, and it takes a second to find, sits a soft creamy sweet layer with a bright citrus lift and a spicy, earthy floor. That musky heaviness holding it down is Myrcene, the peppery bite riding on top of the garlic is Caryophyllene, and the citrus that keeps the funk from becoming overwhelming is a modest dose of Limonene. The wash sits somewhere between blonde and amber, softer and greasier than most fresh frozen on the shelf.
The Smoke
Savoury on the way in, sweet on the way out, which is a strange sequence until you have done it once. The vapour is heavier than the colour suggests and it expands, so the first pull tends to catch people who took it like a flower hit. Then the garlic recedes and the Papaya finally surfaces, leaving a creamy, faintly tropical aftertaste that sits on the palate long after. Run it low. Too much heat turns the garlic acrid and buries the half of the profile that makes this cross worth washing.
The High
Slow to arrive, then decisive. It opens euphoric and genuinely happy, a lift that lasts about as long as it takes to clean the rig, and then the GMO side takes the wheel. What follows is calming in the way a hot bath is calming, then thoroughly relaxed, then frankly heavy. Limbs get further away. As a result this is a nightcap and nothing else: the sleepiness rating is high for a reason, and the 19 to 22% on the flower undersells what a wash of it does to your evening. Line up whatever you are watching before the first dab, because you will not be getting up to choose it afterwards.

Who Should Try Garlic Icing by Hash Hunters?
Funk chasers, and anyone whose evening problem is a body that will not switch off. If you deal with chronic pain, tension or nights spent staring at the ceiling, this is the jar to reach for after dinner. The anxiety risk is low and it stays gentle mentally, so it is friendlier than its potency suggests, but the sedation is not optional. In short, if garlic on the nose sounds like a dealbreaker rather than a selling point, take the Tricho Jordan instead and leave this one to the people who came looking for it.
