Piatella, Fresh Frozen, Dry Sift, Static or Bubble?
The format is really about how the resin was collected and cured. Here is the quick version we give every customer:
- Piatella — Italian-style hot-pressed and cold-cured hash. Dense, oily and terpene-loaded, it almost spreads like paste. The connoisseur pick, best low and slow on a rig. Try Swollest Heads by Madlabs.
- Fresh Frozen (FF) — washed from flower frozen live at harvest, so it locks in the loudest, most true-to-plant terpenes. Bright, fragrant and full-melt.
- Dry Sift — trichomes sieved dry with no water at all. A classic, clean kief-to-hash texture and a great everyday option.

- Bubble — ice-water hash, washed cold through mesh bags. The original full-melt and still a benchmark for quality.
You will often see a micron number like
73µ or
90µ on the label. That is the mesh size the resin was collected through; the 70–90µ range is the classic full-melt sweet spot.

How to smoke hash
The best way depends on the format. Full-melt grades (fresh frozen, piatella, static and bubble) shine on a
dab rig at a low temperature, where the flavour really opens up. Any hash also works crumbled on top of a bowl or rolled into a joint with flower. Lower-melt dry sift is happiest on top of a bowl rather than on a nail. Go gentle on the dose, hash is stronger than flower.

Keep your hash fresh
Store it cool, dark and airtight, ideally in the fridge for full-melt grades. Cold storage protects the terpenes and keeps the melt clean, so the last dab tastes as good as the first. Let it come up to room temperature before you handle piatella, as it firms up when cold.
