Magic Marker by Super Dope smells like a fresh Sharpie dipped in sherbet. Permanent Marker x RS-11, 22-29% THC, euphoric up top then a heavy long-lasting melt.
Magic Marker by Super Dope is an indica-leaning hybrid (30/70) built from Permanent Marker x RS-11. Running 22-29% THC, this Super Dope cut opens chemical and minty like a freshly uncapped Sharpie, slides into creamy sherbet, then folds you into a heavy, long-running body high. Best for day / night.
Cali Weed by Super Dope.
The genetics trace back to JBeezy at Seed Junky Genetics, the breeder behind half the dessert-strain canon. He crossed Permanent Marker, his own three-way of Biscotti S1, Sherb BX, and a third-generation Jealousy cut that dropped in June 2022 and instantly got chased for its uncanny solvent-ink nose, with RS-11. That second parent, also called Rainbow Sherbert 11, came out of Deo Farms in Oakland, a Pink Guava and Sunset Sherbet pairing famous for fruity, technicolor bag appeal and trichomes for days. Two loud, modern lines, both heavy on Caryophyllene, stacked on top of each other.
The point of the cross was to keep Permanent Marker’s chemical-candy funk while letting RS-11 push tropical sweetness and resin through it. The name does the math for you: the marker stink from one side, a little Rainbow Sherbert magic from the other. This particular phenotype comes from Super Dope, who ran it to fatten the trichome coat and hold the indica weight intact, so what you get in the jar reads less like a hype label and more like the strain doing exactly what its parents promised.
Sharp marker ink and raw gas come off this one the second you crack the jar, that acrid, almost chlorine-and-permanent-pen bite that the Permanent Marker side is named for. Right behind it, sweet candy sherbet rolls in to round off the solvent edge, like sugar poured over fuel. A cool snap of mint menthol lifts off the top when you snap a nug, then citrus zest brightens the middle, that tangy lift coming straight off the Limonene. Underneath it all sits an earthy base with a soft floral lavender note threaded through, which is the Linalool talking, while the Myrcene keeps the whole thing musky and grounded. That dry peppery sting that hangs in your sinuses is pure Caryophyllene. The buds run chunky and dark, forest green tipped with purple, packed under a greasy, frost-thick coat of trichomes.
It pulls thick and a little oily, coating the tongue on the way down. The first hit is all gassy fuel and cold mint, two loud notes wrestling for the front. Then the exhale flips it: sweet sherbet and candy smooth the harshness out and turn the gas creamy. Through the middle of a joint the earthy body deepens and the peppery spice climbs as the Caryophyllene concentrates, leaving a faint floral note clinging to your lips after exhale. It expands in the chest more than you expect from how smooth it starts, so pace your draws. The ash runs a touch grey and the resin ring builds dark and fast.
It lands above the eyes first. Within a couple of pulls a bright euphoric rush settles behind the forehead, tingly and a little buzzy at the edges, and the headspace turns happy and talkative enough to feel social. For the first stretch it actually plays creative, ideas loosening up while the body still feels light. Then the 30/70 lean makes itself known. Relaxed warmth pours down the neck and shoulders, a steady calming wave melting the tension out as it goes. Give it twenty minutes and it turns properly heavy, a comfortable gravity that sinks you into the seat, and it stays put: this is a long lasting ride that holds well past the two-hour mark. By the tail end you will be hungry, so line up a snack before the couch wins. Creative early, then a full reset by the back half, which makes it one of the few markers you can start in the afternoon and ride straight into the night.
Effect group: Chill · Best time: Day / Night
This is a smoke for people who chase loud, funky exotics and want real body weight to go with the headrush. Magic Marker by Super Dope does not mess around at 22-29% THC, and the indica lean means it finishes a lot heavier than it starts, so newer smokers should take a hit and wait rather than keep pace. Anxiety risk sits at medium, so if you tend to spiral, ease in with two or three pulls and let the body load catch up to the head. If you deal with chronic pain, inflammation, or trouble sleeping, the Caryophyllene and Linalool pairing here leans right into evening relief, and the late munchies make it a solid pick if appetite is part of the problem. Keep it for when the day’s work is already behind you.
