The Story Behind Ribeye by The Tenco

Headbanger is a Karma Genetics original, bred in the Netherlands by crossing a Sour Diesel IBL (inbred line, KG cut) with Biker Kush V1. The cross placed 3rd in the Sativa category at the 2013 High Times Cannabis Cup, putting it on the map as a serious diesel-OG hybrid. Karma Genetics is known for working OG Kush and Diesel lines with disciplined breeding, and Headbanger became one of their flagship releases.

The Tenco ran Headbanger seeds, pheno-hunted the pack, and selected phenotype 4 as “Ribeye.” The sibling selection, phenotype 8, became “T-Bone.” The steak-themed naming follows the same logic as The Tenco’s fish-named cuts (Black Cod, Beluga Caviar): premium ingredients deserve premium names. Ribeye carries the Sour Diesel fuel dominance from its mother side while the Biker Kush father contributes OG structure and a creamy, peppery undertone that rounds out the smoke.
