The Story Behind the Donut

Two grams of flower, half a gram of hash wrapped around the outside, one paper. That is the EX710 donut, and the build matters more than the names on it: because the hash sits on the outer wall rather than inside the cone, it burns from the very first draw instead of waiting until you are halfway down. EX710 runs several of these, and the hash they choose is what decides where the joint takes you.

Here they picked the sedating one. Papaya Cake comes out of California as Papaya crossed with Wedding Cake, and every source that carries it says the same three things: relaxed, drowsy, hungry. Zkittlez, the flower half, is the Grape Ape and Grapefruit cross that Terp Hogz built its name on, and on its own it is a candy strain that leans sleepy without ever insisting. Put the Papaya Cake wash on the outside of it and the sleepy side stops being optional. Meanwhile the fruit in both halves is pulling in the same direction, tropical over grape, so the flavour stays coherent rather than muddled. In short, it is the same architecture as the Porto Vino build, which uses this exact hash, and it lands in the same place.

The Nose

Sweet and heavy through the wrapper, more jam than candy shop. The tropical side comes first, a ripe papaya softness that sits closer to overripe fruit than to citrus, and behind it the candy grape of the Zkittlez keeps everything sweet. Break the seal on the tube and there is a creamy cake note underneath, the Wedding Cake half showing itself. The hash ring is dark, almost brown against the paper, and tacky enough to leave a mark on your fingers. Limonene is the one carrying the brightness here, while the Myrcene sits underneath and makes the whole thing smell slower than it should.

The Smoke

Thick, and it expands. This one fills the chest more than the Sour Strawberry build does, and the smoke stays sweet all the way through rather than turning at the exhale. Papaya on the inhale, berry and cake on the way out, with the fruit getting jammier as the cone shortens. It burns unevenly if you rush it, so let it sit between draws. On top of that the resin builds fast in the tube, which is a fair warning about the second half being stronger than the first.

The High

It starts euphoric the way most Z crosses do, warm and pleasant for about ten minutes. Then it stops being a head high. The body load comes in behind the eyes first, then the shoulders, and it goes heavy fast. Relaxed turns into genuinely calming, the room gets quieter, and the long lasting tail on this one runs well past two hours. You will get hungry somewhere in the middle, and you will be asleep not long after you stop fighting it. Think of it as the last joint of the day rather than one of several.

Who Should Try Zkittlez x Papaya Cake Donut by EX710?

This is the one to hand somebody who tells you nothing gets them to sleep. It is honestly too much for a quiet evening with company, and the sedation is the point rather than a side effect, so plan the rest of the night around it. Anxiety risk sits at medium here rather than low, mostly on the Papaya Cake side, so if you are anxiety prone take half and leave the rest for tomorrow.
