The Story Behind Biscotti

Biscotti was born inside Connected Cannabis Co., where co-founder Caleb Counts crossed Gelato 25 with South Florida OG. The idea was specific: South Florida OG hits hard with fuel and fire, while Gelato 25 brings a subtler, fruitier terpene profile. Counts used the red cup pheno hunting method, narrowing the search to four standout phenotypes (RC14, 25, 27, and 28) before settling on the final cut. In his words: “OG is so strong and dominant, but Gelato 25’s more subtle terpene profile would blend well together.”

The name came from Berner at Cookies, who saw dessert-era potential in the flavour. The strain initially launched under the Cookies umbrella, but by 2018 the partnership dissolved and Biscotti became Connected’s flagship. Since then, over 400 mentions have been tracked in popular songs, making it one of the most referenced strains in hip-hop. That crossover doesn’t happen by accident.

The Nose

The jar hits you with sweet, doughy warmth before you even look inside. Right behind it, a sharp diesel bite that cuts through the sugar. Break a nug apart and the nutty, coffee undertone takes over, almost like roasted hazelnuts ground with espresso beans. Then there’s the earthy, herbal layer sitting underneath, with a peppery spice from the Caryophyllene that catches the back of the nose. Limonene keeps the whole thing from going too dark, adding just enough citrus brightness.
