The Story Behind Toad Venom

The original cross came from Ronin Seeds in Los Angeles: Animal Face (Seed Junky Genetics’ Face Off OG x Animal Mints, 2022 Emerald Cup winner) meeting Sin Mintz (Sin Mint Cookies x Zkittlez, a doughy-minty sleeper that breeders valued for its unusual terpene character). A go-between delivered 30 seeds to Green Dragon, an LA cultivation operation run by Glen S. and his team. They popped every single one. Out of those thirty, only one made the cut. They called her “Becky.” That single phenotype is the cut that took over the cannabis world.

Toad Venom won Oregon’s Best Strain at the 2024 Leafly Budtenders’ Choice Awards, with budtenders reporting that flower sells out in days.
