The Story Behind Banzai

Banzai comes out of the Banana Punch line at Perfect Tree, a breeding project that has spent years chasing dense, resin-soaked fruit bombs. The cross pairs a hand-picked ZaiZai mother with a Banana Punch male, and each side pulls in a clear direction. ZaiZai leans on Zkittlez genetics, so it carries that candy-sweet, fruity brightness Zkittlez crosses are known for. Banana Punch, meanwhile, brings the literal banana and a thick grape-leaning sweetness from its Purple Punch side.

Put together, the two parents do exactly what Perfect Tree was after. The Banana Punch father hands down the overripe banana and the gas, while the ZaiZai mother keeps a layer of Zkittlez candy threaded underneath. On top of that, both parents finish dense, which is why Banzai shows up as tight, greasy, trichome-packed nugs. This particular run was grown in Thailand, where the warm climate tends to push the resin even further.

The Nose

You smell the banana before anything else. Ripe, almost overripe banana leads the way, sweet and thick. Close behind it sits a sharp gassy bite, the kind of fuel funk that keeps the fruit honest. Underneath, a creamy softness rounds everything out, like banana folded into custard. Break a nug open and the candy side of the ZaiZai genetics comes forward, all sweet Zkittlez fruit with a fruity brightness laced through it. That gas is the Caryophyllene at work, while Myrcene lays down the musky, ripe-fruit base and a touch of Limonene runs a thin citrus line on top. The Smoke
