Permanent Puzzy

Permanent Puzzy

Permanent Puzzy is an indica-leaning hybrid (35/65) born from Giraffe Puzzy x Permanent Marker, the lighter of two sister phenos of that cross on our shelf. Read from its parents, it sits around 22-28% THC, pairing candy sweetness and marker gas with a giggly, happy lift that relaxes the body without flattening it. Best for day / night.

The Story Behind Permanent Puzzy

Grow out the seeds of one cross and no two plants come up quite the same: each phenotype takes its own mix of the parents. Two of them, from the same Giraffe Puzzy x Permanent Marker cross, reached us from the farm behind this jar. Side by side, its sister Glue Marker came out heavier and more stoning, while this one kept the brighter, more giggly half of the family. That split is how we read the two, not a lab result. The name, meanwhile, simply takes a word from each parent.

Both parents are recent California stars. Giraffe Puzzy is a collaboration between Doja Exclusive and Seed Junky Genetics, Z crossed with Animal Cookies Bx2. Doja describes it as fruity, funky and floral, with “an underlying injection of pure sugary candy”. Permanent Marker was bred by Seed Junky founder JBeezy and sold as Adios MF and Gunnpowwder before Doja Pak released it under its current name in 2022. A year later, it was voted Leafly’s Strain of the Year. No database or lab lists Permanent Puzzy yet, so everything below comes from those parents, and the real difference from its sister lives in the high.

The Nose

On paper the two sisters share a nose, since the same parents wrote both. Doja describes a Giraffe Puzzy bud breaking open on a doughy, sweet and sour grapefruit smell. That sets the top of the profile here: sweet first, sharpened by citrus, then sliding into candy and tropical fruit. Below it sits the Marker, gassy, with a peppery prickle that points to Caryophyllene, rounded off by something creamy. Both parents list the same top three terpenes, so expect the musk of the Myrcene under everything and the Limonene keeping the citrus sharp. None of it has been measured on this jar.

The Smoke

Doja calls the finish on Giraffe Puzzy devilishly sweet, and it says Permanent Marker smokes smooth. On parentage alone, then, expect the sweetness to sit on the tongue longest, with the gassy note and a little spice turning up on the exhale. The candy side should hold for most of a joint. Keep the pulls modest all the same: this is the lighter sister, not a light jar.

The High

This is where the sisters part ways. The opening is bright: a quick euphoric rush and a happy, giggly mood that makes small things funny, with enough clarity left over for a creative thought or two. Then the body softens. A calming warmth loosens the shoulders, and the whole thing settles into a relaxed float rather than a weight. You stay on the sofa by choice, still up for a film or a game. Doja promises Giraffe Puzzy an immediate head change that washes away physical tension, and that is the half of the family this pheno kept.

Who Should Try Permanent Puzzy?

Reach for Permanent Puzzy when you want the candy and gas of this family without losing the whole evening to it: a late afternoon with friends, a long dinner, a film you actually want to follow. People pick this kind of profile for stress, low mood, headaches and the everyday aches that build up over a week. Lighter is relative, though. It is still a potent jar with a medium anxiety risk, so newer smokers should start with a single pull and give it a few minutes. If you already know you want the couch-bound version, its sister Glue Marker is the heavier pick.
