The Story Behind Giggle Gas

Giggle Gas was bred by Solfire Gardens, the Pacific Northwest crew known for stacking modern candy genetics on top of old-school fuel. The recipe here is Gas Nana, their Gary Payton x Banana Runtz cross, hit with Udder Madness, a creamy Bitties x Mind Flyer cut. On paper that is four generations of dessert and gas packed into one plant, and in the bowl it shows.

The name is not marketing poetry either. Smokers kept reporting the same thing: a fit of laughter somewhere in the first twenty minutes, usually at something that does not deserve it. Our farmers grow this one locally in Thailand, so treat it as a Thai expression of the Solfire line: same genetics, island terroir, and a price that lets you share the laughing fit with the whole table.

The Nose

Loud is the word. The gas comes off the top like a fuel cap left open, but give it a second and a bright apple sweetness cuts through, closer to cider than candy. There is citrus zest in the middle, a sweet baseline holding it together, and a resinous pine streak that turns up as you break the buds apart. That peppery warmth tickling your nose at the end is the Caryophyllene talking, with Limonene handling the zest and Pinene the forest notes. Dense, medium-sized nugs, olive green with a purple blush where the light hit them.

The Smoke

It tastes like classic weed in the best sense, the kind of flavour that made you fall for flower in the first place. Diesel up front, then that apple-cider tartness sneaks onto the exhale with a creamy edge smoothing the finish.
