The Story Behind Granita

Granita is one of Perfect Tree’s most decorated indica releases, a double-Gelato 33 stack that pairs 33 Splitter (Gelato 33 x Atom Splitter) with Jet A (Gelato 33 x Tina). Stacking the same dessert-gas mother on both sides of the cross was the breeder’s way of forcing the Gelato traits to express loudly, and it worked. The mother brings density and the kind of resin coverage that turns leaves into icing. The father pushes fuel and adds Tina’s signature gassy lift to the back end of the profile. At roughly 40/60 sativa-indica, the strain reads heavier than the ratio suggests, with THC in flower form running 20-27% and a Gorilla Verse Cup 2022 second place in the indica category to back up the genetics on paper.

For the live rosin version, Terps O Kofi started with fresh frozen Granita material and processed it through ice water before pressing. Freezing the plant straight off the cut means none of the volatile terpenes had a chance to break down during a cure.
