The Story Behind Magic Marker

Magic Marker was bred by Seed Junky Genetics and selected by Doja Pak, combining two of the most talked-about strains of the 2020s. The mother, Permanent Marker, is Leafly’s 2023 Strain of the Year, a three-way cross of Biscotti, Sherb BX, and Jealousy that became famous for its unmistakable solvent-ink aroma. The father, RS-11 (Rainbow Sherbert 11), is one of Wizard Trees’ most celebrated creations, known for sherbet-forward sweetness and ridiculous trichome coverage.

The cross was designed to keep Permanent Marker’s signature ink funk while layering in RS-11’s candy sweetness and technicolor bag appeal. Both parents carry heavy Caryophyllene loads and strong indica structure, so the offspring leans deep into body effects with enough cerebral lift to stay interesting. The Nose
