The Story Behind Ripe

Ripe comes from Solfire Gardens, the Pacific Northwest seed company founded in 2015 by a University of Washington biology student. It was released in February 2025 as part of the Last Supper collection, a box set of new crosses built around Last Supper, Solfire’s hybrid of God’s Flower (an Exotic Genetix Goudaberry cut) and Bahama Mama. Last Supper had been a rarity for years, and the collection brought it back with a new generation of offspring.

The other parent, Bahama Peel, is Solfire’s own Lemon Peel x Bahama Mama cross, which means Ripe carries a double dose of Bahama Mama genetics. That double dip concentrates the tropical and citrus terpenes that define the strain. The name fits: everything about this strain smells and tastes like fruit that is perfectly ripe, at the peak of sweetness with no green or bitterness left. Ripe reportedly pushes 30% THC in optimal conditions with only an eight-week flower time, making it a favourite among growers and smokers alike.
