Tenshi by Malibu
Tenshi by Malibu is a balanced hybrid from Raw Genetics, Zoap crossed with Zikigai, two candy-forward lines folded into one plant: a candy-sweet nose cut with soapy menthol and diesel, then a light, creative lift that settles into an easy calm. We put it at 22% to 26% THC, an estimate read from its parents, since our lot carries no lab test. Best from mid-afternoon into the evening.

The Story Behind Tenshi
Tenshi means angel in Japanese, which suits the house it comes from. Raw Genetics, the Southern California breeders behind Zikigai, like their Japanese names, and Tenshi sits beside Kaizen, Izanami and Tengu in their candy-forward line. The cross itself is easy to read. On one side is Zoap, the Deo Farms cut of Rainbow Sherbet 11 and Pink Guava, with its sweet, floral and soapy nose. On the other is Zikigai, The Original Z crossed with Rainbow Belts 2.0, a plant built to push the Zkittlez candy as far as it will go. Put together, the breeder describes a cross made for flavour first: sweet and sharp up front, creamy underneath.
This cut comes from Malibu, and on our shelf it closes a loop. Malibu already grows both sides of the family, in Z x Zoap and Zikigai x Z, so Tenshi is the plant where those two lines finally meet. One honest caveat, though: Tenshi is new enough that nobody has published a proper smoke report on it yet. For that reason the notes below lean on the breeder’s own description and on what the two parents reliably do, and we say so where it matters.
The Nose
The breeder’s own word for the aroma is loud, and with these parents that is easy to believe. Candy and sweet come up first, a sugary cloud straight from the Zikigai side. Then sharper notes cut through it: a soapy, cooling mint, a floral edge that is pure Zoap, and a thin line of gassy diesel underneath. Behind all that, the breeder describes fruity notes and a creamy, gelato-like layer that softens the whole profile. That soapy, floral top is where you would expect Linalool; meanwhile the bright candy fruit points to Limonene and the diesel bite to Caryophyllene. Without a lab test on our lot, though, those three are read from the parents rather than measured. On top of that, Raw Genetics selected the line for vigour and for dense, frosted buds.
The Smoke
Raw Genetics describes a mouth-coating inhale, all sweet and sugary fruity notes, so the first pulls should taste much like the jar smells. Then the exhale turns cool and gassy, with the creamy gelato note riding on it, and it lingers on the tongue as something between spiced candy and mint tea. In other words, sweet going in and cool going out. Little has been written about how this cut burns, so we will leave the ash to you.
The High
According to the breeder, it arrives fast. A euphoric rush comes first, then an uplifting mental buzz that gets ideas moving: creative, lighthearted and easily happy. Meanwhile the body catches up. As it unfolds, a smooth, relaxed ease spreads through the body and balances the head buzz, and the peak settles into a calming, comfortable stillness rather than a crash. Zoap smokers tend to report relaxation without couch lock, which matches the breeder’s picture. In the end, Tenshi lands on the calm side of the line rather than the energetic one, a strain for when the work is done and the evening has not quite started.

Who Should Try Tenshi by Malibu?
Tenshi by Malibu is a jar for somebody who chases flavour first and wants a high that stays friendly. If you have enjoyed Z x Zoap or Zikigai x Z, this is where those two meet, with more calm in the landing. At an estimated 22% to 26% THC it deserves respect without being a knockout, and nothing in the family suggests a racy edge, so it suits a wide range of smokers. Still, start small on the first session, because our lot has no lab test. For stress that hangs around after a long day, a flat mood or a nagging ache, it makes an easy late-afternoon pick that leaves the rest of the evening in your hands. On the other hand, if you want something to get you moving in the morning, reach for a Day strain instead.
