The Story Behind Vice City

Vice City dropped in 2022 from Exotic Genetix, the Washington-state outfit run by Exotic Mike that has been quietly stacking wins in the breeding world for over a decade. The cross is pure in-house: Sunset Runtz, their own twist on the iconic Runtz family (Runtz x Sherbet), crossed with Scotty 2 Hotty, a Biscotti x Rainbow Chip hybrid that brings cookies-family structure and rainbow terps to the table.

Both parents are flagship cultivars from Exotic’s catalog, and Vice City represents the next generation of their internal breeding program. The seeds sold out quickly after release, and the strain has since become a sought-after cut in both US dispensaries and international markets. Exotic Mike’s philosophy has always been about refinement over hype, and Vice City reflects that: a strain designed to smoke exceptionally well rather than just test high.

The Nose

Bright berry sweetness right out of the jar, with a cherry candy note that leans toward maraschino. Underneath, citrus lifts the fruit profile while earthy and spicy tones from the Biscotti grandparent add complexity.
