The Story Behind RZ11

RZ11 is a Sherbet-on-Sherbet project. The genetics come from Real Gorilla Seeds, a UK seed bank that crossed RS11 with Zoap. Both parents are modern exotics built on the same handful of elite cuts. RS11, or Rainbow Sherbet 11, is the cult favourite out of the OZ Kush project, a cross of Pink Guava and Sunset Sherbet. Zoap pulls from Rainbow Sherbet and Pink Guava. Line those up and a pattern jumps out: RZ11 is doubling down on Pink Guava and Sherbet from both sides, which is exactly why the fruit comes through so loud.

Real Gorilla’s RZ11 finishes in nine to ten weeks, throws green and purple phenotypes, and packs serious resin, all of which carries into a heavy stone rather than a light one. Caligula grew this 7g run. The result is a Cali pack that tastes like dessert and hits like a sedative, a combination the RS11 family has built its whole reputation on.

The Nose

This one is loud in the sweetest possible way. A wave of candy hits first, sugared and bright, with ripe guava sitting right in the middle of it. A sweet sherbet creaminess fills in behind, soft and cold-dessert smooth, while a clear fruity tang keeps the whole thing from going flat. Underneath, a gassy note grounds it, and a creamy richness ties the sherbet and the fruit together. The Limonene lifts the fruit, Caryophyllene handles the gas, and a thread of Linalool softens the edges with a faint floral note. The buds come in green and purple, a Real Gorilla trait, under a resin coat thick enough to make them sticky to break apart.

The Smoke

It smokes as sweet as it smells. Candy and fruity guava lead the inhale, then the creamy sherbet fills the exhale while the gassy note flickers underneath. The smoke is thick and a little oily, with the resin showing as a dark ring down the joint. There is no harsh edge to any of it, which is a large part of why RZ11 is so easy to overdo.

The High

RZ11 follows the RS11 blueprint. The first few minutes are bright, a euphoric head rush with a clear creative edge and a genuinely happy tone, the part of the high that tricks you into thinking it is a daytime smoke. It is not. Within fifteen minutes the Zoap and RS11 indica weight arrives together, and a heavy body high rolls down from the neck.
