Sour Rado by Madlabs — Fresh Frozen
Sour Rado by Madlabs is a gassy Piatella hash with a loud sour-diesel nose that fools you, then melts into a long, couchlock body high. Save it for night.
Sour Rado by Madlabs
Sour Rado by Madlabs is a balanced hybrid (50/50) born from Karmarado OG x Sour Diesel BX3. The flower runs 28-31% THC, and washed fresh frozen the diesel arrives raw and unrounded before the OG side pulls the whole thing downward. Best for night.
Fresh Frozen Hash made in Thailand. Also pressed as Piatella.
The Story Behind Sour Rado
Karma Genetics built Sour Rado by crossing their Karmarado OG with a Sour Diesel BX3, and the name lays a trap. You read “Sour” and brace for a wired daytime sativa, but this one leans the other way entirely. The Karmarado OG half, a Karma’s OG meeting a Colorado line thick with Kush and fuel, ends up running the high, while the famous Sour Diesel turns up mostly in the aroma. You get the funk people chase from Sour D, then a finish that pulls you down rather than pushing you out the door.
Washing it fresh frozen keeps that contradiction as loud as possible. Diesel terpenes are volatile and they go first when material is dried or aged, so freezing the flower at harvest and running it through ice water while the resin is still intact is how you keep the fuel note genuinely raw. Madlabs also cold-cures a portion of the same wash into Piatella, where the gas settles and the OG earth comes forward instead. This jar is the other end of that decision: nothing softened, nothing rounded off. Treat the 31% top figure as marketing rather than a lab guarantee either way.
The Nose
You will know the moment the lid moves. Gas comes out in front, the sharp diesel funk that sticks to your fingers and stays there, then a bright lemon and citrus lift slices across it like Kush peel. A tangy sour bite sits behind that, over a damp earthy floor that keeps the whole thing anchored. The fuel-against-lemon top end is Limonene arguing with the diesel, while the pressure underneath belongs to Caryophyllene. Uncured, the wash is pale and loose in the jar and the aroma reads sharper and more solvent-like than the pressed slab, which trades some of that bite for depth.
The Smoke
Take it cool and take it small. The gassy diesel coats the palate on the way in, thick and unapologetic, then the lemon rolls across the exhale and stops the sourness going flat. A low earthy richness closes it out. Myrcene rounds the vapour into something full rather than scratchy, so even at this potency it settles in the chest instead of clawing at the throat. Fresh frozen gives up its flavour quickly, so the fuel is at its loudest on the first pull and tapers from there. That is the honest trade against the cured version, which holds its character further down the slab.
The High
The opening lies to you. A happy, uplifting lift shows up inside a couple of minutes and the Sour Diesel side makes a convincing case that you are about to get things done. Then the Karmarado OG collects the debt. A calming wave moves down through the shoulders, the limbs go relaxed, and a real body high settles in and keeps deepening toward couchlock. It is long lasting, well past the hour, and the munchies turn up somewhere in the middle of it. For all the sharpness in the name, this one ends with you horizontal.

Who Should Try Sour Rado by Madlabs?
Take this one when the day is over and you want a proper gassy full-melt to flatten you out. Sour Rado by Madlabs rewards anyone who loves a real Sour Diesel nose, but the effect is pure OG nightcap, so do not let the name talk you into a wake-and-bake. Anxiety risk sits at medium and the potency is no joke, so a single small dab and a wait is the sensible opening move. If stress, chronic pain, low mood or a missing appetite are what you are managing at the end of the day, the long body calm and the reliable munchies handle all four. For the same strain with the gas settled deeper and the flavour lasting longer, go to the Piatella.
