Adios MF

SKU d243cda6-7ddf-4a1f-8076-e7f3633e2ad5 Category Tag

Adios MF comes from the Permanent Marker cross: loud gas and marker ink over a sweet, creamy base, then a high that ends heavy. At How High, grown in living soil.

Adios MF

Adios MF is an indica-leaning hybrid (30/70) born from Biscotti x Sherb BX x Jealousy, the same cross the world now knows as Permanent Marker. The line is reported at 25-30% THC, and it pairs loud gas and a sharp marker ink note with a high that starts happy and ends heavy. Best for day / night.

Thai Weed grown in Thailand, in living soil.

The Story Behind Adios MF

Adios MF is the name this family wore before it was famous. Seed Junky Genetics, the Los Angeles breeder behind Jealousy, crossed Biscotti with Sherb BX, a line built on Sunset Sherbet, and then bred the result into Jealousy F2. Long before Doja Pak took it on a bicoastal release in 2022 under the name Permanent Marker, the same genetics had already been sold as Adios MF and as Gunnpowwder, to far less fanfare. Leafly files Adios MF as a sister selection of that cross, one that leans a little further toward skunk and mint. Meanwhile the Permanent Marker name went on to become Leafly’s Strain of the Year in 2023, which is why most people now know the family by that one. As for the name itself, it is a goodbye, and not a polite one: anyone who has finished a joint of it on a sofa will tell you it is earned.

Our jar is grown in living soil, which is how we like our weed at How High. Instead of bottled nutrients at every watering, the plants grow in a bed of compost alive with microbes and fungi that feed them slowly. It costs the farm time and some yield, and growers who work this way do it for a fuller nose and a softer smoke. The same family also sits on our shelf grown hydro, in the jar sold under its Permanent Marker name, and this jar is the one we roll into our house donut. Nobody has handed us a lab sheet for this batch, so the numbers on this page describe the line rather than the jar.

The Nose

This family has a reputation for filling the room before the lid is all the way off, and the reason is in the name it made famous. The headline is marker ink, sharp and chemical like a fresh felt tip, riding on loud gassy fuel. Underneath sits a sweet, sherbet-like layer, then a soft creamy edge from the cookie side of the cross. On top of that, most accounts of the Adios MF selection add a skunky funk and a cool trace of mint at the back. The heavy, musky floor under all of it is the Myrcene, while Limonene keeps the sugar bright and Caryophyllene adds the peppery bite that stops the ink from tasting flat.

The Smoke

Expect a thick, slightly oily smoke rather than an airy one, the kind that coats the tongue and asks for small pulls. The gassy fuel leads on the inhale, then the marker ink turns up on the exhale, sharper than you might expect. As you go, the sweet side catches up, and by the last third of a joint the creamy note has taken over and the finish turns round and soft. It burns slowly too, so a small joint goes further than its size suggests.

The High

It opens in the head. A loud euphoric rush lands within a few minutes, the room gets funnier and the conversation picks up speed. Then, around the twenty minute mark, the weight starts to move down: the shoulders drop, the body turns relaxed, and the longer you sit, the more heavy your arms and legs feel. On top of that it is properly long lasting, so one session covers a whole evening, snacks included. Think of it as a nightcap that starts as a party.

Who Should Try Adios MF?

Experienced smokers first. This family sits at the very top of our intensity scale, so Adios MF is not a first joint and not one for a busy morning. Save it for the late afternoon or the end of the day, when the plan is a long dinner, a film or nothing at all. If stress has been piling up, or chronic pain or a mind that will not switch off keeps you awake at night, the heavy second half is the part worth reaching for. The anxiety risk sits at medium, so if you are prone to it, take one small pull and give it ten minutes before the next. Finally, if you want to meet the rest of the family, our Permanent Marker strain page lists every version we carry.
