The Story Behind Biscotti Runtz

Biscotti Runtz, sometimes shortened to Bruntz in the wild, doesn’t have a single canonical breeder. Once Biscotti (Gelato 25 x Florida OG, originally cut by Cookies and Connected) and Runtz (Zkittlez x Gelato, by Cookies and the Runtz crew) both hit dispensary shelves around 2020, multiple breeders ran the cross. The Plug Seedbank and Grounded Genetics are commonly credited with putting out the seed-line version, but the cut is everywhere now. What ties every Biscotti Runtz pheno together is the Gelato double-stack: both parents lean on Gelato as a backbone, which locks in the creamy, dessert-forward flavour and the resin-heavy structure.

OTF’s choice to press this strain to live rosin makes sense the moment you smell the jar. Biscotti Runtz flower already pumps out trichomes like it’s competing in a contest, and rosin keeps the fragile terps that washing tends to strip. The result is a concentrate that tastes like a cookie tin in a bakery, not like a generic gassy dab. OTF doesn’t run a website or social presence, they let the rosin speak. The Nose

This one fills the room before you even break the seal properly. Once you do, it’s cookie first, warm and buttery, that unmistakable bakery dough note that Biscotti made famous. Sweet follows immediately, layered and dessert-forward, with a candy-shop candy brightness pulled straight from the Runtz side. Creamy sits in the middle of the profile, smoothing out the sweetness with an almost ice-cream feel, and fruity notes show up at the edges, ripe and a little jammy. Caryophyllene leads the terpene profile, adding a peppery warmth that keeps the dessert side from turning sticky, while Limonene pushes a faint citrus shimmer underneath. Linalool rounds the back end with that soft floral, lavender-leaning calm that hints at where the high is heading. The rosin itself is buttery amber in colour, soft consistency, and the smell stays loud even hours after the jar’s been closed and reopened.

The Dab

Low temp is non-negotiable, this terp profile is too good to scorch. First pull is pure cookie and cream, vapour thick and rounded, coating the tongue like dessert.
