The Story Behind Dos Magoo

Dos Magoo comes from Beyond Hype Seed Co, a breeder that built this cross by pairing two strains with deep West Coast roots. Dosidos is an indica powerhouse bred from OGKB (OG Kush Breath) and Girl Scout Cookies Face Off, known for its cookie-dough sweetness, heavy resin production, and a body high that earned it a permanent spot in dispensary rotations across California and Oregon.

Blue Magoo, the other parent, has a longer history. This clone-only strain was bred in Oregon in the mid-1990s from DJ Short Blueberry and Major League Bud (also known as William’s Wonder F2). Blue Magoo is a nostalgic strain for Pacific Northwest growers, famous for its vivid blue and purple hues and a sweet blueberry aroma that fills a room. Beyond Hype used a BX2 (backcross) of Blue Magoo to stabilize those berry genetics and lock in the colour, then crossed it with Dosidos to add modern potency and cookie-line complexity. The result is a nighttime strain with old-school berry charm and new-school knockout power.

The Nose

Sweet berry up front, ripe blueberry and blackberry with a sugary edge. Then earthy depth rolls in, rich and loamy, the kind of dark soil smell that tells you old-school genetics are at work. Gassy fuel undertones cut through the sweetness, adding a sharpness that keeps the nose interesting. Sweet cookie notes hide underneath, the Dosidos lineage peeking through.
