The Story Behind Joker Candy

You will see this one written both ways on Thai menus, Joker Candy and Jokerz Candy, and they point at the same genetics: the Jokerz Candy line from Compound Genetics, Chris Lynch’s California house. The cross is Gummiez pollinated by Grape Gasoline, and both halves pull their weight. Gummiez carries the chewy candy sweetness that runs through the modern Zkittlez and Runtz descendants, while Grape Gasoline is exactly what the name promises, purple fruit sitting on top of a fuel tank. Put together, you get sugar with a solvent edge underneath.

Now the honest part: this is a Thai living soil run, not a Californian one, and we have no lab sheet for our own batch. What follows leans on the documented Compound line and on how the flower actually behaves on the shelf. Thai listings for the name float a 50/50 daytime story that the breeder data and every smoke report we could find flatly contradict, so treat this as evening flower and you will not be surprised.

The Nose

The jar reads sweet before it reads anything else. Candy hits first, then a fat grape note that lands closer to soda syrup than to fresh fruit, all of it wrapped in a thick sweet layer. Underneath, though, the Grape Gasoline side is doing its work: a gassy hum that gets louder the more you break the bud up, with a dark berry depth and a sour citrus flick that keeps the sugar honest. Right at the back sits a proper skunky funk. That heavy, almost musky floor is the Myrcene talking, with Caryophyllene adding the peppery bite and a thread of Limonene lifting the citrus off the top. Nugs run deep green and gumdrop shaped, tight and sticky, with rust coloured pistils buried in the resin.

The Smoke

Thick smoke, this one, and it expands. The inhale is grape candy and it is genuinely sweet, then the gas arrives on the way out and coats the back of your throat.
