The Story Behind Cherry Smash

Cherry Smash was created by the breeders at Green Tiger Collective. They crossed Cherry Pez, a candy-flavoured hybrid known for its grape-forward sweetness, with Sour Diesel, one of the most iconic sativa-dominant strains in cannabis history. Sour Diesel, rumoured to descend from Chemdawg and Super Skunk, has been a cornerstone of East Coast cannabis culture since the 1990s, bringing sharp diesel fuel aromatics and a cerebral, energizing high.

The Cherry Pez side contributes dense, colourful buds and a sweet, candy-like profile that balances the Diesel’s sharpness. The result sits right at 50/50, carrying flavour from the Cherry Pez mother and structure from the Sour Diesel father. At 19-23% THC, Cherry Smash is more accessible than many modern hybrids, making it a comfortable entry point without sacrificing complexity. The Nose
