Zkittlez x Sour Strawberry Donut by EX710 is a 2.5g donut built from Zkittlez flower wrapped in Sour Strawberry hash, landing somewhere around 25% to 30% THC once you count both halves. The Story Behind the Donut

A donut is not a preroll with a bit of kief shaken over it. EX710 rolls two grams of flower, then wraps half a gram of hash around the outside, so the two burn together from the first draw instead of one chasing the other. EX710 has been running the format on the island for a while now, and we have carried the Porto Vino and Zzquil builds alongside this one.

The flower half needs no introduction. Zkittlez came out of Terp Hogz and 3rd Gen Family as a Grape Ape crossed with Grapefruit, and it won the Emerald Cup twice on flavour rather than on potency, which tells you what the plant was selected for. The hash half is the more interesting choice: Sour Strawberry traces back to BOG Seeds, a tangle of Sour Bubble, Strawberry Cough, Razz and East Coast Sour Diesel, and it reads sharp and sour where the Z reads round and sweet. On top of that, a wash concentrates exactly the loud volatile end of a strain like that. Meanwhile the Zkittlez underneath keeps the candy base steady, so the two do not fight each other. That is the whole reason this pairing exists.

The Nose

You get it through the paper before you light anything. Candy first, the fruit chew kind, then a sharper strawberry note sitting on top of it that clearly belongs to the hash and not to the flower. Underneath there is dark berry and a grape sweetness that rounds the edges off. The hash ring around the outside is darker and tackier than the flower, and it is where most of the smell is coming from, so the cone actually gets louder the closer you hold it. That peppery weight in the background is the Caryophyllene doing its work, with just enough Limonene to keep a citrus lift in there.

The Smoke

It burns slow, and it burns oily. The hash makes the ash darker and a little uneven, so expect to relight once if you put it down halfway. Flavour wise the inhale is nearly all sweet candy, then the exhale turns and the sour strawberry arrives late, almost tart against the sugar. As you go the tropical end opens up and the smoke thickens noticeably in the chest. In short, it tastes more like a dessert at the start of the joint than at the end, which is not the usual way round.

The High

The first few minutes are misleading. It comes in euphoric and bright, genuinely happy, and you might think you are holding an easy evening joint. Then the hash lands. Ten minutes in, the weight arrives in the shoulders and the legs, the head goes quiet, and it turns heavy in a way the Zkittlez flower on its own never does. From there it is relaxed and deeply calming, long lasting enough to run past the two hour mark, and you will end up hungry on the way down. One of these is an evening, not a session, and splitting it with somebody is a perfectly reasonable idea.

Who Should Try Zkittlez x Sour Strawberry Donut by EX710?

Reach for this if you already smoke hash and you want the flavour without building a bowl. At this strength it is not a first joint for a light smoker, and it is not something to open before dinner unless dinner is the last thing on the schedule. If you deal with insomnia, or with pain that keeps you turning over at night, this is the shelf to look at. Anxiety risk sits low on both halves, so it is a gentler heavy than the numbers suggest, but go slow the first time anyway and see where the hash puts you.
