Obama Runtz started as a joke. A viral video out of Atlanta featured a guy saying his plug had “Obama Runtz” and he’d never heard of it. The clip blew up, the founder of the original Runtz strain made a song about it, and then breeders actually went and made it real. The genetics trace back to a three-way cross involving Afghani, OG Kush (which together form the Obama Kush side), and Runtz, the candy-coated powerhouse that took over California dispensaries in the late 2010s.
