The Story Behind Sour Rado

Karma Genetics built Sour Rado by crossing their own Karmarado OG with a Sour Diesel BX3, and the name sets a trap. You read “Sour” and expect a wired daytime sativa, but this one leans hard the other way. The Karmarado OG side, a Karma’s OG meets Colorado lineage thick with Kush and gas, ends up dominating the high, while the famous Sour Diesel mostly shows up in the aroma rather than the energy. As a result you get the loud fuel funk people chase from Sour D, then a finish that pulls you down instead of pushing you forward.

For this batch, Madlabs took that gassy flower and pressed it into Piatella, a slow, low-heat hash format that keeps the terpenes intact while concentrating the heavy OG body weight into something far stronger than the flower alone. The top-end 31% number leans on marketing, so treat it as a potent, full-melt smoke rather than a lab guarantee. Either way, the throughline from breeder to jar is that long, gassy, OG-anchored wind-down.

The Nose

This one announces itself the second the jar opens.
