The Story Behind Chantilly

The genetics here trace back to Perfect Tree, the breeder that put Chantilly together as one of the very last four strains made with their Jet A reversed pollen. That Jet A came from an Exotic Genetix keeper cut, a Gelato 33 crossed with Tina that carries a gassy, dessert-forward terpene load. Perfect Tree paired it with LA Kush Cake from Seed Junky Genetics, itself a Wedding Cake and Kush Mints cross that took Best Personal Flower at the 2019 Emerald Cup. So the pedigree on both sides is loud: Cookies-line dessert weight from one parent, gas and resin from the other.

What Perfect Tree was chasing was a plant drowning in trichomes, and that resin is exactly why Chantilly works so well as a Fresh Frozen wash. Terps O Kofi, a Thai rosin maker, took fresh-frozen flower from this line and pressed the whole terpene picture into hash. Right from the start you can tell the resin density carried over: the cookie dough, the whipped cream, that strange cardamom note Perfect Tree always talked about. It is a genetic built for concentrate, and that is how it landed here.

The Nose

Pop the jar and it reads like a dessert tray that got into the spice cabinet. The lead is cookie dough, soft and sweet, wrapped in a thick cream that smells almost like whipped icing. Underneath sits a toasted hazelnut warmth and a real cardamom edge, the kind of dark spicy note you do not get often. Then the gas creeps in.
